An employee of New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority described as the announcer on the 42nd Street Shuttle at Times Square screamed and cursed at a photographer. Then the employee clearly stated that he “Did not give a ahit” if the rules permitted photography in the system. According to the photographer the conversation went like this:

Him: I dont give a fu*k or sh9t dont come here doing that on the platform(screaming)

Me: i dont care im a rail fan like the many others

Him: I dont give a sh8t about that dont come over doing that and endangering me Ill get the cops..

Me: Idc because its legal and i can take it anywhere (Of course not restricted areas. Following the rules)

Him: i dont wanna see u doing that!

me: what ever, dont give a sh*t talking nasty to me

so i leave toward the north end of the station..

It is obvious that this employee knew the rule that specifically permits photography in the New York Subway system and chose to ignore it as well as treat the passenger/photographer in an inexcusably rude manner. He should be terminated from employment based upon cursing at a customer alone, regardless of his deliberate infringement on the rights granted to photographers by 21 NYCRR1050.9(c).
