But it seems that BOMB PARTS can. WUSA9 has a special report about the pathetic state of security at Federal buildings which includes guards bringing pillows and blankets to work so they can sleep on the job. The governments own auditors (General Accounting Office) discovered the lax security. According to the report:
Investigators from the Government Accountability Office have been able to repeatedly slip bomb components right past security, assemble bombs in bathrooms, and then stroll the halls.
The GAO declines to name the buildings where it found big security holes.
But feel safe America – photographers can’t even approach within a thousand feet of those buildings without being harassed or lied to about the legality of photography.

Have a story to share that we did not cover? Want to discuss something in greater detail? Want to compare Nikon vs. Canon? Post it in our forum - all are welcome.

What I find most humorous in this report is that at least one of the buildings they smuggled bomb parts into housed some Homeland Security offices. So the people that are supposedly keeping the entire country safe from terrorists haven’t even managed to keep their own offices safe from potential terrorist threats!
